What we have accomplished with your help!
Since we started in 2005 www.planttreesaveplanet.com has given £7,200 directly to support the projects shown on the site.
We have supported 10 projects in all since we began. The relatively small amounts given ranging from £250 - £1000 to each project can achieve significant things for the communities involved. Have a look at the pictures and updates on the website on the project pages.
On some occasion we have given further funds to a project to take forward a new tree planting project – the moringa tree project in Malawi as it offered good benefits and innovation.
Making a difference where a difference is between life and death
The donations we receive contribute to more trees are being grown in the world and the efforts in reafforestation – all helping our environment. For example the project in Tamil Nadu, India has resulted in 5000 tree seedlings being planted with a 90% survival rate.
We aim to support around 2 new tree planting schemes a year. It takes time to consider proposals and that they are in line with the aims of our charity – which our supporters donate to. This level of growth is also line with the modest amount of money we have raised each year and what can be supported with it.
